I love a good movie. As the summer and my wedding month began, I decided to watch Mamma Mia! It was the perfect blend of beautiful, cheesy, and romantic. I continued my wedding-movie marathon, and here are some of my favorites!

1. Mamma Mia!

The one I started with. The film is colorful, fun, and full of energy.  The ABBA soundtrack is so catchy. This is a perfect feel-good wedding movie. It captures all the excitement, romance, and chaos that make weddings so memorable.

2. The Proposal

The romance was inevitable, but that’s part of what makes this movie so enjoyable. It was delightful and entertaining to watch, with plenty of funny moments and great chemistry between the leads (Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds). Overall, it’s a charming romantic comedy that delivers exactly what you expect in the best way.

3. 27 Dresses

A classic feel-good movie that never gets old. It’s definitely one of my all-time favorites. As an older sister, I found myself relating to Jane (Katherine Heigl) in some ways. Thankfully, my sister is nowhere near as bad as hers! With its humor, heart, and relatable characters, it’s the perfect movie to rewatch whenever you need a little comfort and romance.

4. Crazy Rich Asians

Love that it features an all-Asian cast. It’s a beautiful romance with just the right amount of comedy. I’m obsessed with all the little details. They made the whole movie feel so magical to watch.

5. Bridesmaids

Raunchy humor at its finest. Easily one of the funniest movies I’ve ever watched. You’ll be laughing from start to finish.

6. Bride Wars

Even with a “war” at the center of it all, it’s ultimately a celebration of friendship. The guys make it pretty obvious who the walking red flags are and who actually isn’t. It’s hilarious, heartfelt, and the perfect movie for a girls’ night.

7. My Big Fat Greek Wedding

A film that any child of immigrants will instantly relate to. It’s equal parts cringe-worthy and hilarious, capturing the push and pull between family, culture, and identity. Heartfelt, funny, and an all-around crowd-pleaser.

8. License to Wed

First of all, I love Robin Williams. While the plot is fairly predictable, it’s still a delightful watch. It captures the highs and lows of wedding planning and reminds you that, above all else, communication is key.

9. Monster-in-Law

Another predictable comedy, but it fully embraces the chaos. It hilariously leans into the over-the-top mother-in-law stereotypes, making for plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. And really, who doesn’t love a little family drama?

10. The Princess Bride

An absolute fairy tale from start to finish. Everyone gets exactly what they deserve, making the ending all the more satisfying. It may be a little corny, but that’s part of its charm. A timeless classic with an unforgettable story.

11. Meet the Parents

A comedy classic that never gets old. It’s relatable, endlessly funny, and driven by the unforgettable chemistry between Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller. Their back-and-forth is what makes this movie such a memorable success.

12. 50 First Dates

Truthfully, it’s not my favorite rom-com, but it’s still a charming watch. What really makes the film work is the heartfelt effort Adam Sandler’s character puts into winning over Drew Barrymore’s. It’s sweet, silly, and packed with some genuinely funny moments. That said, the romance occasionally takes a backseat, keeping it from being a true rom-com.

13. Beauty and the Beast

A wonderful movie from start to finish. This is my favorite Disney film. The music is unforgettable, making it impossible not to sing along. Between the slow-burn romance and the countless magical moments, it’s easy to get swept away in the story. Its timeless reminder not to judge by appearances makes it all the more meaningful.

14. Anyone But You

Charming and witty, this modern movie captures that nostalgic old-school rom-com feeling. While the storyline is predictable, it’s still a fun ride watching everything unfold. Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney have great on-screen chemistry, and the film is filled with plenty of hilarious moments throughout.

15. Mr & Mrs Smith

More of a thriller than anything else, but thankfully, it doesn’t require you to be on the edge of your seat the entire time. It’s a stylish, well-executed film that’s genuinely fun to watch. Angelina Jolie’s effortless elegance, especially in that iconic black dress, adds to the movie’s charm. A sleek and entertaining watch. What more could you want?

16. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

All the best songs, unforgettable family drama, and a powerful reminder that family love can be stronger than anything else. A true Bollywood experience filled with emotion, heart, and unforgettable moments. It’s joyful, heartwarming, and had me crying at least a dozen times.

17. Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1

Delightfully entertaining and full of nostalgia, it instantly takes me back to my middle school days. A top-notch feel-good movie that’s bright, romantic, and completely transports you into its fantasy world. A fan favorite for so many girls, this film is all about the romance, joy, and magic of the moment. It’s a charming watch that celebrates love, family, and happiness.

18. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

A beautiful tale of friendship and love, brought to life with a phenomenal soundtrack. The story is heartfelt, the emotions are powerful, and every element comes together perfectly. An absolutely top-notch film that leaves a lasting impression.

19. Enchanted

An action-packed fantasy that perfectly blends classic Disney magic with a clever twist on the stereotypical princess story. Amy Adams is hilarious as she navigates the “real world,” bringing so much charm and humor to the role. I absolutely adore this movie and could watch it again and again for the laughs. A modern fairy tale that never disappoints and only gets better with time.
