Howdy! I am excited to introduce myself and Love and Light Wedding Planning!

My name is Diya and I am the lead planner and proud owner of Love and Light. While I may be the face of the business, the journey to creating my wedding planning company would not have been possible without the incredible support of my family, friends, and trusted vendors. Their encouragement and belief in my vision have been instrumental, and I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank them first.

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge my boyfriend, Jay Patel. His unwavering logistical and emotional support is invaluable to me. You might spot him from time to time, as I navigate the business world with his help. Jay is not only a source of creative ideas but also the reason I get to embark on so many incredible life and business adventures.

Next, I’d like to recognize one of my oldest and dearest friends, Ariel Bounds. She is an incredible photographer with her own business. She specializes in senior portraits and weddings. Without Ariel, I would have felt lost in the wedding world. She was instrumental in setting up my website and encouraged me to connect with local planners who helped me grow in the industry. I am deeply thankful for her guidance and support as I began this journey.

Thirdly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the incredible planners who helped me get started in this industry. Their guidance was essential in my growth; teaching me how to plan exquisite events, collaborate with vendors, and design stunning experiences. Most importantly, they helped me find my footing in this competitive industry. I am thankful for their mentorship and support.

Last but certainly not least, I want to take a moment to appreciate my parents and sister, Maya, who have cheered me on in every possible way. They encouraged me to explore an entirely new path, different from my original career goals, and their unwavering support has been invaluable. They helped make this dream a reality by providing honest feedback while still being my biggest cheerleaders. Nothing would be possible without their trust and belief in me.

Now, a little bit about me: I am an open book- if you want to know something, just ask! I absolutely love my job, my family, and my fur babies. I am a creative and cheerful person who values punctuality. Being late gives me anxiety, so you will rarely find me running behind. If I ever am, I promise to make it up to you because I value your time as much as my own.

Weddings are my true passion, especially South Asian Weddings. You might even catch me dancing around the venue now and then as I ensure everything is running smoothly. I am genuinely invested in your day from start to finish and want to be more than just your planner- I want to be your friend.
